Bob I agree with you that the screen makes a HUGE difference. To me, screen size and resolution have always been the #1 factors when buying a PDA.
You should have seen my first reaction when I turned on my Axim X50v. The font is so much more legible than on my Clie. For me, 640x480 plus Cleartype are the way to go when reading full-length e-books.
