Last week I had the winter tires put on. We all have to do it in Western Lombardy, by law. Yesterday I filled her up. I could observe a 5% increase in gas consumption. I did most of the recent mileage at relative low speed. Of course there is more use of the heaters and the air vents as it is colder. And the wipers and the rear window defogger as it rained a lot. Who cares, it is just money. But it is interesting. I am sure it is the harder tires.
