Firmware updates? Sony does it for the Dash, why not their Readers???
I wish the Sony Reader development team would take a cue from the Sony Dash team!!!
For those unfamiliar, the Sony Dash is a WIFI enabled device with a 7" touch screen that some call a very expensive alarm clock. It connects to various internet audio (Pandora, etc.), video (Youtube, Netflix), and photo (Flickr) sources as well as flash drive connectivity to those file types.
The point here is that my Dash, while still having short comings of its own, has received at least 4 firmware updates during the year that have added significantly to the functionality of the device. In fact, the USB flash drive connectivity was non-functional at the time of purchase and fixed by Sony through a firmware update while it sat on my nightstand.
So how about it Sony Reader development team? How about pushing out a firmware update like your Dash counterparts and fix a few things that didn't get addressed before the release of the PRS-950...like landscape orientation of the web browser and real landscape zooming of PDF's (the later was implemented better in the PRS-900)???
