When I lived in Vermont I had a beautiful Japanese cast iron tea kettle and hearth. I would put charcoal briquettes into the hearth and set the kettle on top. I felt very 'with it.' Now that I live in Asia, I use an electric water pot just like everyone else.
Four liters, choose a temperature, push a button and out comes the water. A pot lasts me all day. I wish I had one that filled automatically too.
