Big jump in font size

Now I'm using font size no. 4, with 'Medium' line spacing. With this setting, Kindle 3 is able to display 22 lines. But when I use font size no. 5, the next step up, the number of lines displayed go down to 17. That's a quite a big jump in size. I'd sure like a font size no. 4.5.

Although Kindle 3 is able to display 8 different font sizes, I find the largest and smallest font sizes practically unusable, because they're either too big or too small.

I hope Amazon would make more font sizes for the middle range (esp between no. 3 to no. 5) so that increment in font size could be more gradual.

I have a question: Can this problem be remedied with the font hack?
