Hello from Nashville

Hi! I just got my new Kindle 3 (3G+WiFi) yesterday, and I've been mining the web for information for the last few days. Seems like all of the searches lead here, so I've been spending a lot of time on these forums. I spent Thursday converting the miscellaneous formats I've collected over the years, which I was able to do because of the info here about Calibre and Mobi Creator.

I'm already completely infatuated with my Kindle. I'm in the process of learning the HTML formatting limitations so I can adapt my own documents. (Found links to that information here also.) I used to be a web designer, so it's actually kind of nice to have a limited list of tags and css to work with. Less to remember.

As much as I'm a geek in most areas, I also tend to be a late adopter in certain areas. This is my first ebook reader, and I just got my first iPod this year. Previously I just used one of my laptops for music and ebooks.

I'll stop my rambling now and say to all the posters here for the wealth of information. I'm sure I'll be spending a lot of time here.
