Just check out the Amazon Exclusive publishing contracts as a case in point.
David Morrell, that book put out around Halloween by JA Konrath and some collaborating authors. I don't think Karen McQuestion's books are available yet in ePub because of the Amazon Encore contract. There was an announcement made just this week about five books being published by The Onion that will only be available on Kindle.

JMHO Erictoma but if you want to "educate" people on their choices you should probably strive a little harder for honesty.
