No idea what kind of cover 900 has, but Sony's cover(s) for 650 (and 350) don't have locking mechanism, they leave 3 sides exposed and there is no specific hardening on the front to protect the screen.

They are nice covers but imho not suitable for constant carrying in a backbag on daily basis. I have to use elastic around it to ensure that it doesn't open in the bag while moving around.

I really wouldn't have bought another cover if I seriously considered the Sony cover I currently have to be sufficient.
