The single page turn seems to be a 1.7.1 thing. I'd swear it worked the same way as the original before that. It's annoying, but bearable due to the faster page turns with wifi.

I assumed the single versus multiple page turns would be made possible by the speed of the processor. I'm computer savy but I'm no expert on the inner workings. But I do like to understand how things work.
It seems to me that this is a quality control issue or perhaps some inconsistency in the manufacturing.
I feel like I got a hybrid this time around. It has the D-button of the Original and the better screen contrast of the WiFi.
But the mulitple page turns or lack thereof is really puzzling.
Is anyone getting multiple page turns with software version 1.7.1 on the WiFi Kobo?
I'm about ready to let this go. I'm happy that this Kobo is working and I can read.
And it's not about hating the Kobo. I still love mine so much that I won't consider any other reader. (I tried the Sony and it just wasn't for me.)
However I'd really like to understand what's going on. Is it a crap shoot when you go into the store as to what features you'll get?
