Not sure how you managed to get the kobo to buffer multiple button presses. I'm the one who did the battery life testing and suffered through many thousands of consecutive page turns. I NEVER saw the kobo buffer turns.
Wow, I thought my multiple page turns was the norm.
If I needed to advance in a book it was easy to press the button 10 times and sit back and wait for the turns to happen. I didn't have to be fast. Even as the first one or 2 turns are occurring I could still press the button and the Kobo would advance to the total of the number of button presses.
(My original Kobo-1.4- will only advance 2 pages at a time no matter how many presses.)

I wrote to Kobo about this , stating:

"my 2 previous Kobos would do multiple page turns with multiple quick clicks on the button. Even my original version Kobo would do 2 page turns.
This Wifi Kobo only does ONE page turn no matter how many times I push the D-button."

and here's the response I got.

"The page will only turn as fast it can load. You will not be able to turn the page a second time untill the first page loads. This device is not 'faulty'. This is how it is designed."

Obviously he didn't read what I wrote.
~sigh~
