The layers screwing up just messes with pictures and such if they've got a background "printed" on the paper underneath the main text. It hasn't really affected readability, though I imagine it would impact things a bit more if a table were similarly screwed up.
Page turn is pretty decent. It's not as fast as using my netbook, but I didn't expect it to be. Very readable, though, and I like the interface.
