Kobo & Mac PowerPCs
La Coccinelle & taming - Thanks for your responses. I've dug a bit of a hole for myself in my relationship with the Kobo people since I expressed how disappointed I was in their software not supporting Mac PowerPCs.

I will go back to them and ask if working through Calibre is a suitable work-around, and if so how to upload to their system. I will post their response and my progress.
