ade template?

I have an annoying problem with some of my epubs in that a page truncates with many blank lines for no apparent reason. I thought that perhaps using the ADE template might help, so I looked at 'Three Men and in a Boat' by Jerome K. Jerome. He uses a second style sheet, named 'page-template.xpgt' with the ADE inside it. When I try to rename a second style sheet in Sigil .3, it notifies me that I can't use this name; apparently it must be a .css filename for Sigil(?).

If I can't follow JkJ example, how do I incorporate the ADE into my epub using Sigil, including how to reference it throughout the rest of the epub files?

(and will the template help eliminating the partially blank pages in my epub?
