One time, one time I tried to reread a book I remembered fondly. I read Wicked by Gregory MacGuire when I was in high school and loved it. When the play came out, I went to see it and loved it, so I decided to reread the book. The writing was so bad that I wanted to poke out my eyes. Instead, I closed the book and promptly donated it to my local library. Never again will I try to reread something I remember fondly from my adolescence.
