You can't actually do any sub-sorting within Collections on the PRS-300, (which is a bit of shame), but you can sometimes 'cheat' the Collection names to achieve what you want. You could use a 2-digit numeric prefix for your collections and this will determine the order, for example:

00 : Jan-Mar 2010
01 : Apr-Jun 2010
02 : Jul-Aug 2010
03 : Sep-Dec 2010

It's a bit of manual carry-on but can be quite effective. It can also be used to group 10-items at a time on each page of the Collections.
