This is the first year that the US ebook reading device market is in full flow at Christmas, and it did ok in other years despite shortages. Half a million high-end reading devices in the Christmas season isn't a stretch at all. There are many lower price alternatives, but the price isn't that high and it does deliver color. Color might not be a big deal for most reading, but it is certainly a great point of sale feature.
