for some reason, people love to hate on a few businesses; Starbucks, Microsoft, Amazon/Kindle. they refuse to see anything good about them. try telling them that Starbucks is using fair trade coffee and working with the coffee growers to make their land more sustainable, quit destroying the forests, etc. do they want to hear it? nope, the companies are successful so they must be the debil!

I've been an Amazon customer forever and love their service and pricing for the most part. I was (and am) angry that they caved on the Agent Pricing thing, but I just don't buy the higher priced books and complain to the publisher when I see them.

I went off on someone who pulled the 1984 fiasco on a new person who was asking about Kindles. the; "I've heard that Amazon will look at your content and pull a book..." we were trying to reassure that person that it was an anomaly, Amazon stepped in it big time, it'll never happen again, yada yada. since then I have been getting my ass kicked across the kindle, general and P&R forums
