Hm, I have a different view: Listen to your body. That takes care of supplements right there. I eat what I want, when I want, and I've noticed that, after an intense session, my body craves much of the things other people supplement- protein, for example. Same thing with drinking. The difficult thing with that approach is that I need to keep in mind that I shouldn't climb as much and as hard all the time as I would like to- I regularly need to pace myself to take easier days instead of working on the projects all the time
