I don't regret paying full price for my 900 because I certainly enjoyed it. However I am really lovin' my new 950 - what an improvement! Your new NOOKcolor should keep you busy for awhile.
Perhaps the soon-to-be-released Sony app will work on your rooted NC? An eink reader would definitely be a nice companion for the NC. LCD displays don't hurt my eyes like some people, but I still prefer the eink screen for long reading sessions.
