I have just finished reading The Penguin Book of Classical Myths by Dr Jenny March, first published in 2008 by Allen Lane (she has taught at London, Reading and Southampton universities, was a British Academy Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University College London and is attached to Corpus Christi College, Oxford; her several books include the acclaimed Cassel Dictionary of Classical Mythology, winner of the 1999 Runciman Award) ISBN 978-0-241-95358-7 (590 pages, with maps, constellation charts, B&W illustrations and colour plates, bibliography and of course index), alas not an e-book, but I can recommend it most highly, nevertheless.
