I was excited to read that
Merlin's Harp is free on Amazon today. For those who like fantasy or Arthurian legend novels, this one is awesome! I read it about 15 years ago and, while I don't really recall the specifics about the story, I clearly remember being awed by the use of language. It's almost like reading poetry, but in a good way.
I read this right about the same time the I read The Mists of Avalon. It's got a similar type of story line (female centric, alternate view of events where the 'good guys/bad guys' are not traditional) and it's a pretty quick read, maybe 1/3 the size of Avalon or so?
Just wanted to throw that out there since most of the free stuff I've been reading hasn't been very good.
(I'm not associated with the author, by the way...just really excited about the book.)
