I too have experienced battery drain since rooting my Nook with 1.5. Even with wifi off and airplane mode on, the battery lasts less than a day.

When the battery showed 60% I turned the Nook completely off one night and when I turned it on the next morning, the critical battery warning came on and I had to charge the battery.

Is there a particular app I should remove to see if that solves the problem? How can it drain the battery with the Nook turned off? Before rooting I could go several days with some wifi usage before the battery needed charged.
