I'm pretty ok with spiders and snakes. Snakes don't get in the house here, and we only have a couple of poisonous ones anyway (copperhead and diamondback rattler). I don't generally kill spiders in the house -- we just leave each other alone , but again, we only have a couple of poisonous ones of those, too (black widow and brown recluse), and I can pretty much identify those. I WILL kill those.

Here in the southern USA, though, we are forced to co-exist with the dreaded palmetto bug, which for those of you who don't know, is nothing more than a big ol' roach that can sometimes fly. :shudder: I hate those with a passion. They can't hurt you, but they sure can make you hurt yourself!
