This is close to what I do. Usually I accumulate a dozen or so new books on my computer before I transfer them to my Sony 950. However, for the most part, unread books reside on my Sony. Like Lilac, I delete read books from my Sony, but I delete them as soon as I am finished reading them or as soon as I decide that I don't like a particular book and know I'll never finish reading it.

Although my Sony 950 can hold hundreds of books, I try to keep the total on the device to under 200. It makes it much more manageable for me when I go searching for the next book to read.
