Kobo is a nice device for beginners to experience electronic books. It is the very reason I bought the device. While you seem to take offence at people that post negative things about the device, your own post takes the point to the other extreme. While I have been reading these forums since the original Kobo came out and I purchased it, I decided to make an account and post when I had something negative to say about the device. It is not because I hate it. (I like my Kobo, but Kobo as a company made many mistakes, especially to their original customers.) I made negative comments simply because up until that point when I registered to these forums not many people made the points that I was making and I think it is useful for visitors to this forum to know both the positives and negatives of the device and of the company that makes the device.
If you wish to only read the positives, then by all means, Kumbayah, hug your Kobo, ignore all the negative comments, and follow Alexander Turcic's advice. Some people, however, before they buy would like to see what current users think of the device, and hopefully these forums provide something useful for them.
