Well, it can use hyperlinks in newspapers and magazines. The top and bottom button clicks that make fonts bigger and smaller then are used to navigate through the hyperlinks. You change fonts, in those instances, through the menu. Hyperlinks are not underlined in newspapers etc. so I am not sure that most folks know they are usable.

I've asked Kobo about hyperlinks, and to the best of my understanding, they did not feel that hyperlinks were high on the "must have" list for folks. I think they are wrong, but what do I know. My suggestion was a menu choice to enable hyperlinks (or not) with that decision forcing the need to use the menu to change font size. I do not know if that part is doable. I also suggested that they change the CSS so that hyperlinks are underlined.
