Yes, but I am talking about the difference between a K3 and a Nook with 1.5. The text looks almost exactly the same. The font is now darker and bolder on the Nook. There might be some slight difference, but I don't think it can be said to be anywhere near something to sway a person to pick one device over the other. IMO, it is the personal preferences like weight, epub or mobi, touch screen vs physical keyboard, etc that would sway a consumer.
