One other advantage of keeping separate versions is... when I edit the formatting in Sigil or Calibre, I often screw-up. Or, I just don't like the way the formatting looks, after it is said and done. If you have a semi-virgin, stripped DRM version, you can always start over with that, re-format, and re-import into Calibre.
