It is certainly a small minority of Kindle ebooks. TOPAZ was common initially on technical books and perhaps on books with a small audience. You could always come across a TOPAZ in almost any genre, but recently I have noticed an uptick in new titles. On average. for me, it is now at least one in ten and a year ago my impression is that this would have been closer to one in twenty. Of the last dozen Kindle ebooks I was ready to click buy on, two were TOPAZ and one of these was published (in hardcover) in June 2010. I have a basement in my wish list for TOPAZ ebooks I would like to buy if they ever get released in another format. Obviously, your mileage may vary - particularly since we are talking about a relatively small percentage spread unevenly across the various categories of ebooks.
