Hiya! I'm OCGforme on the 'net, and I *JUST* may have discovered the most effective new tool for the year yesterday!! I am SO enthused.
The situation: I am a rabid bibliophile... Stopped COUNTING the physical books at 8k, but have continued to buy 15-20 "new" books per month just for my own reading. I homeschool my youngest, so include the reading chaos in planning for "college bound" high school literature. Hubby works as a computer geek and did NOT read much but the newspaper until the iPAQ came out, and I convinced him to try Project Gutenberg. He got hooked. Of course, NONE of us have many overlapping interests....
Both my sons prefer different electronic readers. Hubby reads most on his Android phone, which is a third format. I have computer access nearly every moment of the day,BUT I also have visual... problems... so I've preferred .pdf documents.
Caliber is the answer to a frustrated "librarian's" worry about our dedicated hard drive full of books. HOWEVER, I'm very cautious about "getting under the hood" of a program and am THRILLED to find the forums as a result.
