I'd like to append to the original post and add a second question: "if no, why?".
If you look at 1.5 suggestion threads there's 1000 posts and each poster wanted something different, and to me I can easily live without 99% of those suggestions. Page turning is very nice, any improvement is always nice. I would much rather have overall system performance increase though (by updating to newer android), not just turning pages.
I also would like to see Nook SDK (for nook "classic" so there's no confusion) like promised, so that third party developers can develop their apps. It is possible to do that now through softroot, but it would be nice if it was official so that third party companies, not just anonymous individuals, could join the process.
And to continue in the pessimistic tone, judging by frequency of updates, I wonder if we'll ever see 1.6 update.
Luckily the nookdevs community is still pretty active.
