I may have been out of sorts this morning, but music has worked its magic once again. I went to a concert of Christmas music by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra at lunchtime today, held in the sanctuary of the old and very beautiful North Avenue Presbyterian Church in downtown Atlanta. I sat on the 4th row, and it was really thrilling to be so up-close and personal with such respected musicians. This is also the first live orchestra event I've been to since I had my (successful) ear surgery last year, so it was very moving for me to hear the music in true stereo for the first time in 13 years.
