I didn't really like the Kobo. I hated that I had to always use my right hand and it was super slow. I also find the Kobo store doesn't have any of the books I want to buy. They have some of the real popular ones, but lately I can't find any I want. The Kindle is nice, but you will pay an extra $2 on each book in Canada at Amazon. As you probably know, our books are always more anyway, so I guess it doesn't bother some people.
I have a Nook and I love it. When you get your Nook you can make a B&N account with any US address and hit the 'Same as Shipping' check box. Then you can buy books at B&N. I have heard they don't ship outside the US, but a lot of people use a service that allows you to ship it to a US address and they re-direct it to you. Or if you go down that way you can always pick one up (that is what I did).
