Ok, let me jump in here real quick and say I still like my 600. I wouldn't get another one today (I would go for a 350 or 650), but as I already have the 600, I'm ok for using it for novels only.
Yes, there's glare and contrast is not the best, but if there's sufficient lighting, it's ok for reading novels :-)
