hmmm fabulous would not be an appropriate adjective to apply to the trip as a whole. The staff were fabulous, great service, but the trip as a whole was not.
There are no pictures because the most scenic part of the trip (Townsville to Cairns) was done by bus because of flooding or something, but we knew that the day before we left.
I did eat the most fabulous chocolate mousse for dessert at lunch on the first day.
Unfortunately despite their efforts to do it up (the shower was fabulous), the poor old dinosaur of a train 'The Sunlander' was a bit shabby. This would not have been too much of a problem for us except that the airconditioning was not good, and you could not open any windows. (I nearly fainted at dinner).
I think I am not a good traveller, I had a travel headache the whole time. Flying is cheaper and faster! Although this was not good either Virgin Blue not my favourite airline anyway, but the aircon was no good there either.
Boy I sound like a big whinger!

a pommy one even. We still had fun, but it would make me think twice about long distance train travel in the future.
