If you go to sonystyle.com and find their outlet store section they are $139.99 refurbished but by sony and presumably with a warranty.
I don't know how good they are. Everyone said the touch screen made the text more faded and slightly less sharp then its rivals like the nook so might be better getting one of those. But it did get some good reviews so perhaps it was ok in its own right just not in comparison.
