Items decorated with 'Hello Kitty' and the Disney characters are targeted here for the 15-25 year female market, rather than the 8-13 year olds as would be in the US. I see far more older women with Mickey Mouse blouses, Hello Kitty handbags, etc., than younger pre-teens. The largest mobil phone provider has the Disney Character phones for young married women...

On the other hand, I did see one Goth girl with a 'Hello Kitty' tattoo... The images just seemed to clash.
It was like Lisbeth Salander meets Heidi!
