But unfortunately, KK is right. The majority of Japanese girls between the ages of 16-25 use 'Betty Boop' as a role model. Look and act beautiful and stupid. The word that most comes to my mind to describe the average twenty year old girl here is 'vapid.' If they have managed to snag a husband, they can stop pretending to be dumb. They are out of the marriage race by age 25 anyway.

yeah, I just don't get it. I was in the
Albuquerque! Mall this summer (the only place I could get a replacement charger for my cell phone, so shut it!) and there was a VERY anglo (gai jin?) girl in the same shop that was 21 plus that was dressed in what was apparently a Manga impression of a 14 year old gai jinn dressing in a naieve and flirtatious way. she was even carrying a "hello kitty" kitty. I was.... troubled
