I just returned from a ride into the downtown area of Kyoto, to the Import Foods shop to pick up a large tin of the East India Company 'Royal Breakfast' tea. While there I notice they were also selling the same company's 'Assam,' so assuming that if the Royal Breakfast tea is so very, very good, the Assam must also be good, I bought a large tin of that too!
Do you know the old saying about 'assume?' It's true.
It's drinkable, but nothing special. I'm surprised. It will get relegated to the "Use for ice tea only" shelf along with several others that didn't make the cut.
