The Spanish population
is big here, but the menus are totally uninspired. To me it's generic mexican home cooking. And mamá is not always a good cook.
The closet really really good Mexican restaurant is
Don Jose Restaurant south of Richmond, Virginian. The menu has a large selection and the prices are much lower than they need to be. Expect it to be crowded weekdays and packed weekends. We only had a so-so meal there two or three times, out of more than a hundred visits.
