PMLZ output - question

I'm terribly sorry for the noob question, but I was unable to find any info about this subject. The question is - what the PMLZ output is good for? I presume the generated PML file should be fed to the eReader Dropbook software to generate an eReader PDB file, right? Well, just for a try I downloaded the free ebook "Emerald Sea" by John Ringo from BAEN, converted it to PMLZ with Calibre 0.7.31 (Windows), unzipped it into a folder and opened the PML with Dropbook. But Dropbook gave me the following list of errors:

Writing book <Emerald Sea> from file <index.pml>...
Generating page tables for the small font...
Image "cover.png" doesn't exist!
Chapter name is > 80 characters; mismatched chapter markers? Begins with " Dedicated to Mark Turuk, without who"
Link syntax incorrect. You have ' visit
\q="http://w' and it should be \q="#
Generating page tables for the large font...
Errors occurred while paginating the book. No output file generated.
Done.

And produced nothing. Not to mention that it asked me about the book metadata, although it is present in the PML file. Another strange thing is that the file "cover.png" actually exists! Could this be a bug in Dropbook? Or perhaps Calibre produces incorrect PML syntax? Does anyone have experience with making eReader books with the help of Calibre? Thanks in advance.
