I miss our farmers market. We have a municipal one but the best was an actual farm just a few km away. What they didn't grow themselves they would try to bring in from their neighbours. The fresh veg and fruit, herbs and some of my favourite chinese greens I'll have to wait until next spring. The lettuces I see in the supermarkets right now are all imported and look pretty pathetic. We have a lot of greenhouses around here, so hothouse tomatoes, bell peppers and English cucumbers are usually available, but still not as good as farm grown.

They look like lychee to me too. Logan's have a brownish shell. Then there is the hairy Rambutan variety. We see a lot of them in Vancouver, but I believe they are imported form China.

I don't mind wind chimes as long as there isn't any wind.
