The kepub format is a work in progress and they are working with various changes to the way it handles CSS. If I wanted a WiFi reader under $150 that handles ePUB, and the font handling was a major issue for me, I would sideload through ADE or Calibre and wait it out. But that's me.

Keep in mind that the preloaded free books are generally conversions of Project Gutenberg books and leave much to be desired compared to what you get when you get a book prepped for Kobo. The readers in the store also do not run the latest version of the firmware. The latest tic to the firmware for the WiFi reader was done specifically so it could handle changes to books after they have been downloaded without having to resync the entire library. It may be that as the CSS handling is improved, even older books will see the changes.

I am not minimizing the issue, but it also seems to me that people make choices balancing cost and what their "must have" issues might be. It's possible that you have identified a "must have" that is not particularly high on most people's lists. This does not mean it shouldn't be fixed, but it may mean that it may not be at the top of the list of things they are working on at present.

Did you PM JC about this?
