I did some looking around B&N's forums and it's definitely not just me. One poster mentioned how he had his replaced and the replacement doesn't have the problem, some think that using the anti-glare screen protector might help.
I've seen some horror stories (thinking of the Kindle 2 and 3 in particular) where people end up going through a number of replacements before finding one that was perfect. I can live with the problem, especially since I've realised that it's only going to be a problem on days where I have an inordinate amount of time to waste away playing with it.
