You could just download Kindle for PC or one of the other free Kindle apps.

There are thousands of free books always available and Amazon offers temporary freebies nearly everyday. There are lots of blogs out there that will list all the books that are free each day.

When I do a search at Amazon's Kindle store I always choose to have the results listed from lowest to highest in price. This will show you all the free books first.
