my pipes finally thawed. I actually had a rupture, but it was aboulits easy as it gets, it was the handle on the utility sink in my laundry room. fortunately it was easy to shut it off there. unfortunately there was a bunch of laundry and other things on the floor. laundry is pretty much non-stop in my immediate future.
