Greetings from Central Florida!

I didn't even know I was interested in e-readers until a friend mentioned them 2 weeks ago. Now I am the proud owner (although I can't play with it until Santa gives it to me) of a Kindle 3. I know very little about e-readers so I'll be scanning the forum trying to soak in as much as possible before Christmas. I read somewhere that there is a way to convert the DRM books we get from our library so that they can be read on the Kindle. I know a little about computers, but don't know if this is beyond my capabilities. I'm reading up on it now. Is this something that a fairly capable person should be able to tackle? I know you can't post the steps here, I just want to know if it is something an average person can do.

Getting ready to download Calibre, too. So much to learn. I hope I'm up to the challenge!

Anyway, looking forward to learning as much as I can. I'll be happy to share my experience to other beginners, too.
