My iPad replaced the Sony 505 entirely.
The functionality to read in bed without a light (white letters on black background) allows me to not disturb the pretty demoiselle sleeping next to me.
The larger screen is also a big advantage.
Another big advantage is the various apps (Kobo, Kindle, etc )
