Manga displays well on the 505, and I can also say it displays well on the 600, 650, nook, and kindle 3.

Of all of those, it probably looks best on the kindle 3, because of the higher contrast. Color comics are often messes of gray. It's best to convert them to a high-contrast gray-scale before placing them on the reader; They'll be much nicer.

In terms of reading textbooks on either the k3 or 650... Good luck. It's never worked out for me.

In terms of PDF support, the Kindle 3 is adequate, and the 650 is essentially on the same tier, in my opinion. Not many devices do PDFs ideally.
