I'm evaluating different ereaders and ebook platforms and is now almost set on Kobo (Amazon is THE boy in town but is too lock-down, B&N doesn't allow international sales...). However, her readers seem to have a major oversight, that bookmark, syncing and highlighting aren't completely supported. The iOS version seem to have them, but the desktop and at least Android version doesn't.

I also heard about Calibre, but I afraid it won't sync with Kobo either (it's pretty convenient I must admit...)

Is Kobo going to update the apps to support these functions?
